Painter and writer
The hand behind the work
Dhriti paints the way some people keep a diary. A street she has walked, a bird she has watched, a face she cannot forget. Each finds its way onto paper, fabric or canvas, in watercolour, acrylic, oil, charcoal and pencil.
Her work moves between quiet scenery, portraits, landmarks and bolder modern pieces. Some take an afternoon. Others take months of returning, reworking and letting the colours settle.
She paints from her home studio in Indore, India, where she also writes. Every piece in this collection is an original, signed by hand. When one sells, it is not repeated.
